Poster Design by Jeshu John
Bible verse typography poster inspired by Isaiah 53:5. In both the original Hebrew (chabburah (חַבּוּרָה)) and Greek (mōlōpi (μώλωπι)) texts, the word for "stripe" is indeed singular. Many commentators suggest the singular is used because Jesus was scourged so severely that his entire back became one continuous wound or laceration rather than a series of individual marks.
